Novena

Health City Novena was first conceptualised in 2010, with the aims to shape the future healthcare of Singapore. Anchor the Regional Health System, Health City Novena strike to enhance and improve the health of all in Central Singapore, and ultimately empower people via active and healthy living lifestyle for everyone.

Health City Novena comprise an integrated and sustainable development, incorporating many unique features that will extend beyond healthcare system but encompass a more holistic and complete eco-system. This eco-system includes health services, research and education, commercial, leisure and public spaces.

There are four key elements to the master plan, namely Care, Continuous Learning & Innovation, Community and Connectivity.

Integration of Care: With the increasing and ageing population of Singapore, more resources will be channeled to specialist, ambulatory and intermediate care.

Integration of Continuous Learning & Innovation: Singapore National Healthcare Group and other stakeholder organisations, to work closely with medical school and other education and training bodies to develop holistic training curriculum and programmes.

Integration of Community: Create a friendly and welcoming environment that the public will be drawn to in Novena.

Integration through Connectivity: Highly connected network of public walkways, streets, boulevards and roads is planned in Novena. All buildings will be linked at three levels – above ground, street level and basement for different needs of distinctive groups.
