Chinatown consists of four distinctive sub-areas namely Telok Ayer, Kreta Ayer, Bukit Pasor and Tanjong Pagar. Each sub-areas were developed at different times. Chinatown was famous for its architectural building combining different elements of baroque architecture and Victorian architecture styles of shop houses. Today, Chinatown is one of the most popular tourist spot in Singapore.
